Singapore, 25 October 2023 — The National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School's Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master in Business Analytics (MSBA) have achieved historic top rankings in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Global MBA rankings and Business Masters Rankings for 2024.

The NUS MBA climbed one spot and claimed the first position in Asia while it leapt two places to 24th worldwide, while MSBA* reached a significant milestone and ranked 10th globally.

The 2024 edition of QS Global MBA Rankings and Business Masters Rankings employs a methodology that is based on a set of performance indicators including employability, return on investment, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, thought leadership, as well as class and faculty diversity.

Among the 315 MBA programmes from around the world, the NUS MBA scored 83.2 out of 100 points, propelling it to the top 7.6% globally and top 2% in Asia. The programme performed outstandingly in employability as well as entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes. It achieved an impressive employability score of 84.6, while the entrepreneurship score improved by 23% to score 87.7. These achievements exemplified the significant impact of NUS MBA on the graduates’ professional development.

The NUS MSBA is in the top 6.7% globally with a score of 83.6 out of 100 points across the performance indicators. It is one of 149 global Masters in Business Analytics programmes assessed and ranked by QS. The MSBA programme also excelled in employability, alumni outcomes and value for money. Employability and alumni outcomes achieved scores of 80.1 and 79 respectively, while the value for money achieved a remarkable score of 91.2. These reaffirmed the industry’s recognition of NUS’ quality business education and its graduates worldwide.

Distinguished Professor Andrew Rose, Dean of NUS Business School, said, “We are heartened by the recognition accorded by QS World University Rankings, as the first in Asia and as a leading business school in the world for postgraduate studies. This is a testament to our steadfast commitment to deliver world-class business education and prepare our graduates for today's complex global business landscape. We take pride in nurturing a diverse and dynamic community that will shape the next generation of business leaders.”

He added, “Our MBA programme consistently attracts talented young professionals from diverse industries, backgrounds and countries. Besides the networking opportunities, we will continue to deliver an education that balances academic and experiential learning, uniquely tailored to the individuals for their personal and professional growth, so that our students can accelerate their careers and add greater value to the business world.

“It is immensely rewarding that our MSBA programme has entered the top 10 QS Business Masters Rankings. This would not be possible without the strong ties with industry partners which enable our students to enhance their competencies and contribute effectively to the advancement of the business analytics sector”, he concluded.

QS Senior Vice President Ben Sowter said, “NUS is undoubtedly one of the world’s elite higher education institutions and, unsurprisingly, this enduring and rigorous commitment to excellence extends to its business arm where its MBA programme is among the world’s very best, placing an emphasis on work-readiness and thought leadership.”

He continued, “NUS’ prowess spans other areas of business education, specifically its Master in Business Analytics, which is among the 10 best courses of its kind in the world. Again, it produces some of the world’s most employable graduates, providing excellent value for money and networking opportunities underpinned by a diverse student and faculty cohort.”

Sowter added, “This is particularly impressive given the exponential growth, intensifying competition and high desirability for qualifications in this area, with business and data analytics skills among the most in-demand for business graduates today.”
